Go to http://translation2.paralink.com/ and it has free translation online, including Japanese (all three kinds), Chines (two kinds), Arabic, Russian, etc. As long as your source isn't a pdf, you just cut and paste. It also back translates so that you can determine whether the machine translation from English to Japanese really says what you want it to. It if absolutely free for up to 1000 characters at a time.
