Hey Bob-- You are surely not alone in enjoying unbuilt models for their own graphic wonderfulness! I have a very large box of models in the closet, and every few months I just have to get them out and go through them, while trying not to drool too much.
Even the electronic digital files in the computer--almost 30 gigabytes of them--get the treatment. I sometimes open a folder--planes, buildings, boats, etc.--and just go through looking at and appreciating random files. I hope this is one of the less harmful forms of insanity!
