I use the water based glue, elmer's glue. Once I squeeze the excess glue out of the piece, I then press them between heavy books, (be sure the books don't have any textures, they need to be flat surfaced) or a combination of several books, I prefer books with plastic book covers. Leave the pieces dry for several hours, or over night. The pieces shouldn't get warped, and if you need the pieces to be curved or folded, steam the pieces or moisten, don't over do this, and form them. A little experimenting and you should be able to master this process. :)
