The glues I use the most is Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. It is in a
purple bottle. There is also Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue in a
silver bottle. Tombo Mono Auqua liquid glue is good too. The bottle
has a wide dispenser at one end and a narrow dispenser at the other
end. Glue sticks sometimes help when glueing large areas. Apply
whichever glue you use sparingly. Too much will cause all kinds of
problems. Dispense a small amount on some scrap and use a toothpick
to spread it on the glue area. Some syringes like what are used to
refill ink cartridges are sometimes handy to store and apply glue.
There are even all plastic syringes available for use with glue.
Sometimes CA (or superglue) is good to use. It will stiffen up some
pieces and is needed when glueing paper to metal. Be sure to roughen
up the metal with some sand paper to give it some tooth so the glue
can adhere to it more easily.
