I usually glue small sections of  a long row of triangular tabs and
work my way along the row, positioning the parts to be joined as I
go.  I also color a little of the tabs along the area where they are
joined to the printed part so if some misalignment happens the white
of the tab does not show.  Use the joining strip method mentioned by
Ed Jones Jr whenever you can.  The butt joints make a big difference
most of the time.

You should also edge color every part.  It makes the model look a lot
better.
