I guess it depends on the cause of the problem! My daughter had a
crashed drive on her laptop and went to one of these "helpful"
computer stores that specialized in repair and extract your lost data
and they told her after about a day that there was nothing they can
do. So she bought a new laptop. I asked her to send me the laptop and
guess what! I recover for her all the data. I cleaned the hard drive
from the extreme viral infection and I'm using it for my other
hobbies!. She was living in Florida at the time and I live in Puerto
Rico.
