Very sorry to hear that.
Met him at least once in Bremerhaven and
especially remember the trainride from
Bremerhaven to Bremen with him, where we had an
interesting conversation about everything except
paper models. Really an inspiring person. Dearly missed.

too young. Alvar was an inspiring person who as
designer, model builder and pedagog among many
other tasks led the Schreiber-Bogen model
programme into a new life. I have enjoyed his
models, I have enjoyed his book on Card
Modelling (the best one I know on the subject)
and I have enjoyed his Schreiber-bogen films on
youtube. But most of all, I have enjoyed him as
a good friend. I have such difficulties to see a world without him.
