So far this thing has been a lot of fun although I've had some issues getting the lower hull skin to fit.I ended up having to double skin it, first time through I fitted the two skin sections separately and the join came out lumpy so I built the whole lower skin as one piece and it will go over the first skin, yet to be done...I'll worry about the slight gap later. The astrogator looked like fun so I built it today, the interior bits are scratch built, the facsimile Jupiter 2 inside WAS level but leaned over after I fitted the dome that I thermoformed out of some blow moulded packaging over a glass marble. Interestingly the top dome is the same size as an old ball mouse ball so that's what I'll use when I make it. I added the astrogator control panel that wasn't in the model sheets and if you think those 6 little brackets on the rim of the astrogator were easy then you were WRONG !! lol. More as I progress.
