building the entire upper hull first and then trim the hull formers if
needed to get the hull to fit snugly. I put the upper hull on and then
tried to fit the roof but it didn't work well. I also took a slice out
the roof thinking that the piece I removed would fit...it didn't...my
fault of course.
If I had built the hull first I could have airbrushed it complete but
trying to patch up my efforts on the joins and then airbrushing just
wasn't going to work, masking all the compound curves was impossible.
Hand painting just doesn't cut it....nevermind, I can always build this
again.
Many thanks to the designer Vinicio Munoz, a great model to build and if
done properly then everything fits. A beautiful model despite my
ordinary build attempt.
