Search through the source code for "pp". Parl seems to be mentioned quite a bit.

Anyway, the hunch was that you were building the exe on your XP machine. I haven't
actually tried building stuff on my 2K machine, and then running it on XP, so I can't
comment on whether the problem persists. However, what you are describing certainly
occurs for me when I build and run on XP (ie the silent exit). However, I haven't
debugged it very much so I can't really comment on the problem)

It didn't seem to be a problem with older versions. But I'm not a hardcore pp user,
and I have only compiled perhaps a couple of apps so I could easily have missed it if
it was intermittant.

Perhaps try using pp on a simpler app, eg some 2 line test app. It's fairly likely
that the problem will persist, but at least that way we can rule out it being caused
by some subtle problem then "use" clauses are resolved, etc?

Good luck

P.S. You might still check that parl is up to date though... Hardly takes you long to
check...!

parl.exe never comes into play on the XP system.

On my Win2k development system, I run:

pp -o mrvoice.exe mrvoice.pl

I copy mrvoice.exe to the XP box and try to run it. parl.exe doesn't need
to get installed on the XP system - the binary should be self-contained.

Unless there's something I'm missing?
