Not a direct answer to your question, but I believe that B::DeObfuscate was written as a result of someone reading about what Stunnix was claiming http://search.cpan.org/~jjore/B-Deobfuscate/ (ie most of what Stunnix does can be undone more easily than they might like you to realise) I presume that Stunnix does do pretty much what it claims.
