If you're considering that, then you may as well use Acme::Bleach (or any of the other obfuscation modules on CPAN). They're both doing the same kind of thing. Just because you have to pay for stunnix doesn't make it any better. Read the reviews that stunnix gets at freshmeat to see how much this protects your code. http://freshmeat.net/projects/perl-obfus/?topic_id=243%2C861%2C916%2C48 Seems like anyone wanting your code would spend about a minute on google (the link above was the top hit for "stunnix deobfuscate"), and about 10 mins putting the code through perl -MO=Deparse, or B::Deobfuscate.
