OK, it looks like this is a problem with bochs.  I was trying to test 
under a vanilla Windows install by using a virtual PC inside bochs, but 
it looks like this isn't going to work.

FreeGuide version 0.7pre1 uses the par-compiled XMLTV package, hopefully
