A straight out-of-the-box build of PAR-0.87 with perl-5.8.7 on Win32 doesn't work. It worked fine with perl-5.8.6.
Simply running "parl.exe" should output a short usage message. Under perl-5.8.6 it does, but under perl-5.8.7 I get the error: Can't locate Config_heavy.pl in @INC (@INC contains: CODE(0x8c7b60) .) at C:/perl5/lib/Config.pm line 66. Compilation failed in require at C:/perl5/lib/IO/Handle.pm line 260. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:/perl5/lib/IO/Handle.pm line 260. Compilation failed in require at C:/perl5/lib/IO/Seekable.pm line 101. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:/perl5/lib/IO/Seekable.pm line 101. Compilation failed in require at C:/perl5/lib/IO/File.pm line 133. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at C:/perl5/lib/IO/File.pm line 133. Compilation failed in require at -e line 305. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at -e line 835. Running "parl.exe -IC:\perl5\lib" instead makes no difference. The "missing" Config_heavy.pl is installed in C:\perl5\lib, and the Config module is working fine. I don't even know where to start looking for the solution here. Where is the source code of parl.exe? Any help greatly appreciated. - Steve ------------------------------------------------ Radan Computational Ltd.
