I just wanted to report a success with PAR 0.959. I'm building my
own under CPAN.pm from ActiveState Perl 5.8.8 build 817 with MS
Visual Studio 2003. This is my first PAR upgrade on Windows in about
two years (since AS build 810 with the Bribes build of PAR 0.85 --
that combination was rock-solid for me).

The only gotcha I experienced was that I initially launched a plain
cmd.exe instead of the shell with the Visual Studio envvars. With
the former, I got lots of failures with static libs using the CPAN-
downloaded .par, but with the latter everything went very smoothly.
