More likely, it relates to the fact that ByteLoader is a mess. It has been unmaintained for a long time and supposedly never really worked well. I think we should certainly stop advertising it in the PAR documentation. In fact, ByteLoader and the related modules (and perlcc) have been completely axed from the latest perl development series and won't be included in perl 5.10 any more. It's most likely an issue with Byte*, so sorry, I don't think we can help you there except remove any reference to ByteLoader/Bytecode from the docs and mark the filter as deprecated.
