just a short addition: I just marked PAR::Filter::Bytecode as deprecated in the subversion trunk. of PAR::Packer. I'm sorry that we cannot support this feature any more, but we can't do much about lacking support upstream. For old perls, the Bytecode related code of PAR::Packer is still in place.
