Trunk in parted svn may not always work. I mean, it should for the most
part, but don't assume that.

Well, the problem seems to be linked in the d-i environment, since in the
installed system things work just fine. I am really baffled by this, first
time i see it, but it may be due to some devfs compatibility things that are
done maybe ? Not sure though, the partition table is recognized as a mac one.
I don't know what the d-i environment is, but as far as parted goes,
please try 1.8.0rc2.
