hey,
thought i'd throw my $0.02 in. i've been trying to get xpra running under
cygwin. i've been working on it in bits and pieces over the past few months. i
just recently got the 0.0.5 release (and then the 0.0.6) release compiling under
cygwin (the xpra is unmodified).

i first tried running the server on windows. however, windows does not like
file names containing ":", so the x socket file and the log file have issues
being created. would it be possible to just change the code to use friendlier
characters in the file names? i looked into fixing it, but it didn't seem to be
a simple fix to the DotXpra class.

next, i tried just connecting a cygwin client to remote server via ssh (this is
my desired use case anyway), and it sort of, kind of attached, but complained
about various socket related things. some of the recent fixes mentioned here
may have fixed some of this. could provide more details if desired.

anyway, would love to get this working. if you want me to try anything lemme
know.

thanks,
-james
