Now, that's where it gets tricky - the patch you send will have *both*
encodings in it.
Nice catch! :) I had not thought about that.
I'd suggest checking patchwork after sending it. Or even sending as a
pull-request.
If a pull request is ok and Wolfgang agrees, then I'll add this patch
directly to what is already on my 'next' branch and send a pull request
for the whole when the next merge window opens.
