Izwe Lethu

I could not help but left wondering if not utterly dissapointed at PAM's
pronouncement through its leader,kaPlaatjie, on the Jacob Zuma - Arms
Deal Sagga. At its announcement about its victory and registration with
the IEC for the upcoming elections, PAM called for the cancellation of
Zuma's prosecution. Joining the chorus of those who make unfounded
statements and misguiding utterances,ka Plaatjie also spoke of a
political mendling and a whichhunt against Zuma, something we have heard
enough from the Blades,Vavis and the likes. You might be wondering
comrades as to why I'm bringing this issue on this forum, but these are
the very same people,in fact comrades, who swear on the names of
Sobukwe,Nkrumah,Motopeng and others, and whom we are all Pan Africanists
with, faction or not. Now for them to make such statements, mimicing the
aforementioned noncompoops of South African politics, is distgusting to
say the least. How does Plaatjie lament at Mbeki's dismissal last
September, but with the very same token, makes the very statemtments
that sealed Mbeki's fate, that of politlical conspiracy and the related
gabbage that's used to excuse Zuma from facing the music? If Mr.
Plaatjie, and anyone who thinks alike on this issue, could answer these
simple but semi-legal questions maybe I might be convinced; who did
Shabir Shaik corrupt when he was convicted for corruption; who did he
bribe and found guilty for, et cetera et cetera. And tell me if there was
political inteference when Zuma was financially dependent on Shaik for
over ten years. Can't help but imagine how many people were disturbed by
that pronouncement. While other opposition parties in their campaigns
are using Zuma's corruption sagga to boost their chances,Mr' Plaatjie's
PAM decide to do the opposite, amidst zero chances to be recognised in
these elections. Wonder what is in for him or his party..For it was
clearly political chicanery, opportunism and expediency at its worst
form.
