Joni,

Ka Plaatjie did not say corruption is exusable. I am not defending the
indefensible. The premise of Ka Plaatjie's argument was that there ought
to be an inquest conducted by the JSC on the whole Arms deal saga. He made
it clear that the French company lost out in the tendering process and
immediately after meeting with Mbeki in France, they got the deal. This is
no coincidence. Therefore, everybody and anybody who looted, has to face
the music.

Justice must be applied equally and consistently, you know that better.
Targeting Zuma who had no authority to approve the Arms deal while
protecting those who approved it and benefited, is selective justice. We
either end the Zuma Case or we let all of those whose hands are dirty
stand trial for the Arms deal. This is the proper context of that
statement.

Our argument as PAM is a very principled one. We are not singing the Song
of the DA and all reactionary parties. We are not defending corruption nor
anybody. We want justice to apply equally and consistently to all.
