The philosophy of Pan Africanism is designed to be broad and all-accommodating in the interest of achieving the African Revolution. We are not outright capitalists and neither are we doctrinaire communists. To put us in a straitjacket particularly when contentious issues are discussed would limit the variety of contributions and render the exercise stale and boring. Labeling of this sort is also a dangerous red-baiting tactic used to slam ideas we are not comfortable with. Political theorists in the PAC particularly have used Marxists phrases to advance their points against the "quacks" in the CPSA, and similarly used Christian ethics against the falsehoods of divine providence in the Calvinism of the NGK and Broederbond. They have even stated positive neutrality, as Kwame Nkrumah argued, by taking only the good in both systems. And condemned totalitarianism of the Soviet empire. I therefore do not share your phobia on the inputs in the debates using marxists methods of persuasion. We can use any methodology to advance our points. If they cannot hold they will fall apart easily, and be countered with advanced ways of analysis. Barrack Obama's economy is collapsing and busting at the seams after idiots in financial institutions like Lehman Brothers allowed corporate greed to over heat the system. He now blames globalisation and the rise of national economies like China and India. This is disingenuous when you consider that the US calls the shots at world economic forums and belligerently advocate war in regions where their interests are threatened. The crisis of capitalism in Europe, by association, could also mean that we'll experience the fall of the US empire very soon. The centre of the system feeds on the exploitation of the periphery, and cannot withstand fair and just competition with emerging economies. The trade wars in the First World War took place in a single capitalist system. Why? There was no communist threat.
