This file should be placed in the root directory of your unit. Off of the root diredctory you should have a .rockbox directory. If you don't have punctuations turned on with your speech, there is a period in front of rockbox. Under the .rockbox directory, there should be at least a langs directory. In the langs directory you should have the files english.lng and english.voice. Actually, if you use Winrar or Winzip to extract the archive you downloaded for your model to the root of your archos device, those folders along with a few others should already be there and all you have to add is the english.voice to the .rockbox/langs folder. Didn't you say you already had installed RockBox on your device? Basically, you are doing the same thing here, but using a later version, and installing an additional file called english.voice. I suggest you go to the web site given in the instructions and browse around there. I think you will find there are some good FAQS that may help you. Since the Voice stuff is still technically a beta version, there isn't a whole lot on using the voice menus, but once you get them installed, most of it is self evident. Then install it as you would any other version of RockBox. "How?" Now disconnect your archos as usual, turn it on, and hit menu. You should have talking menus.
