     Everyone needs to have WinAmp on their computer for playing audio
files.  You can always download the latest accessible version from
www.acbradio.org.  You might also go to www.acbradio.org and look in the
Main Menu archives for old shows related to computer audio.  It might give
you a jump start.
     You can't play MIDI or .mid files on a CD player.  MIDI is not any sort
of audio file.  It's commands to tell a MIDI capable musical instrument what
notes to play etc.  Your computer can play them because it has a MIDI
capable musical instrument built-in.
