I'd recommend a very inexpensive little gadget from Radio Shack, if you can find one, called a ground loop isolator. I was getting a hum whenever I tried recording from my satellite receiver, and the ground loop isolator eliminated it completely. It was something like six bucks Canadian.

Hi Harry,
I'm not sure what you mean. Could you please explain?
If you mean, why don't I record the show with a program such as GoldWave,
while it is on. Well, I would do that, except I get some sort of weird
interference with both my stereos, whenever I try connecting them to the
computer.
I think it's the apartment I live in. It has a lot of metal in it.
Although, I'm really not sure if that's all my problem or not.
