Hi Jeff,

all the voice recorders are relatively accessible. With the Sony ones,
like the ICD-B25 or ICd-B26, you can append stuff to a message. If
you've recorded a phone number of a person and later get an additional
cell phone number, you can append it to the message even if you already
recorded other messages. With the recorders of other companies like
Olympus's VN- series of note takers, this isn't possible.

Sanyo just released a couple of MP3 dictation recorders, which one can
plug into the USB port of a PC and easily copy stuff from and to the
recorders, no special software needed. These recorders are quite good,
when one wants to record longer meetings etc. However, one cannot use an
AC adapter with the Sanyos.
