I only know the ICD-ST10, but I believe, that the ST25 is just an ST10 with twice as much memory. The ST25 uses the LPEC codec, which sounds very good. The P28 doesn't use this codec and therefore won't nearly sound as good. However, I've only read the specs of the P28, so I'm not 100 per cent sure about that. The ST25 uses a five way key, I find the one on the ST10 a bit cumbersome to use. Sometimes, I accidentally press it in the wrong direction. So, the ST25 has the better sound, the P28 has the better keys IMHO. Also, the ST10 isn't ready to record immediately after the beep, which is emitted after the record key has been pressed. One has to wait for a quarter or a half of a second, before one can speak. This delay isn't present on the cheaper Sony modells.
