My "personal" stand alone yamaha burner will not recognize data cds. You have to use audio cds, whether you want to or not. This, as I understand it, is standard for these kinds of burners.
I still don't know what the difference between data and audio cds is, but it applies to both cdr and cdrws as far as my burner is concerned.
