Hi all, A very interesting list. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with broadcast quality stereo portable recorders that also are even somewhat accessible. I have a Marrantz PMD690 which does fantastic recordings, but, gets only about 1 and a half hours on batteries, and uses to XLR mic plugs which are cumbersome for a portable. The setup is a nightmare. The machine is discontinued replaced by the PMD660 and PMD670. Anyone ever try one of these? Any comments would be appreciated.
