Hello. I am working with an iaudio x5. Here is what I have done. I went to the rockbox site and downloaded the boot loader two Firmware. the file was x5fw.bin. Next I went and got the rockbox software for the x5. The file was called rockbox.zip. I unzipped the Rockbox software to the root directory and It created a folder called rockbox. I then went and got a voice file and installed it in the langs directory in the rock box folder. I went and installed the fonts directory after the player didn't work right the first time and still nothing. I didn't copy the rockbox.iaudio to the root however. I let the firmware update the player and turned the player on. Now the player speaks a bit but It is like it is stuck in the main menu and not the play menu or the folder view menu where it should be. What Am I doing wrong? Could some one send me the necessary files to do this job or do I have the corect files? I was able to put the old firmware back on but I would really like to install rockbox and have it work. If I get my friends player right I plan to buy my own.
