hello all, there is more than one solution to the problem of charging your mp3 usb players. i bought a mp3 and usb charger a while ago. this is a small device that looks just like a standard mains plug and has a usb socket on the face, all you do is plug it into the wall socket and plug any usb powered device into it to either run it off the mains or to charge it. i only paid 5.99 UK pounds for it about12 US dollars. the place i got mine from doesn't have this particular model any more but they do have an alternative one that has some extras. mine was for UK use only, but the one they have now is a travel version which comes with adapters allowing you to use it in the UK, USA, Europe or Australia. this model costs 9.99 UK pounds about 21 US dollars here is the url for the item: http://www.gizoo.co.uk/Products/AvCommunications/iPodAccessories/TravelCharg erUSB.htm
