Just to add to Matthew's message. The precise version number for the current build of Sound forge is version 9.0e (build 441). It wouldn't surprise me if version 10 is being developed because it has been a couple of years since version 9 was released but this is pure speculation and I haven't heard anything official about plans for a new version.
