Is it possible that you turned down the volume within winamp? Just to make
sure you didn't, play an MP3 file then while in the main Winamp window press
and hold the up arrow for about 15 seconds to make sure the audio is all the
way up.

Are you trying to play the CD or DVD you burned using the free software
we've been discussing on the list? If so, then there were probably errors
during the burn. The first and simplest solutions would be trying a real
commercial music CD and se if that plays. Secondly, try rebooting and
playing the commercial CD again. Let's start with that simple stuff
first.

Friends, this is scaring the heck out of me.
I put a cd or dvd in to my drive, and nothing will not play!
I don't know to be honest with you what happened. it was fine yesterday,
then, bang! nothing doing.
is there anything i can do?
You do hear the drive making a buzz kind of sound, then it stops.
