All you need to do is go into preferences with control p and then down to
general preferences and tab to check for updates at start up and uncheck it
and enter on ok and it will be done.

Hi, don't think I have posted here, but I was getting those annoying update 
notices, so I downloaded the winamp lite,
did I do good?
and in the future, when this update note pops uup, how can I stop that from
