Hello Steve and list: Well the frustrating thing for me, concerning the
Winamp update notification is this: whenever I've gotten the notification,
the computer then won't let you do anything; it's like it locks up; you
can't make it go away! So you're stuck! Therefore, at least with the newer
versions of Winamp, I have to make sure those notifications are turned off;
the only other way around it is to restart the computer!

Regarding the Winamp update messages whether they're annoying or not
varies greatly depending on your point of view (smile). I absolutely
love keeping up with the very latest software in most cases so I'm eager
to keep up with the latest version of Winamp so for me any update
messages from software are always helpful and very welcome. Of course
the other solution to stop these messages is to install the latest
version once you get the update message.
