you are correct. just like getting rid of everything before the start
marker, you get rid of everything after the finish marker. you can do one at
a time or both of them at the same time if you need to.

I suspect you put the finish marker at the point from which you wish to
trim, this seems logical to me but I am only guessing as to date this
feature is unknown to me.
