Diana, I ran into those errors back in May and had to upgrade to wget 1.12. I got mine at www.sunfreeware.com
wget-1.12-sol10-sparc-local.gz GNU Wget is a freely available network utility to retrieve files from the World Wide Web using HTTP and FTP - installs in /usr/local. Dependencies: openssl-1.0.0c, libiconv, libidn, libintl, and /usr/local/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 and /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.6 need to exist by installing libgcc-3.4.6 or gcc-3.4.6. wget-1.12.tar.gz Source Code.
