Dense fog and calm offshore winds postponed the start of Race 9 until
1400. The ladies were rewarded for their patience as a balmy 10-14
knot breeze filled in from the west. Three 14-16 minute W4s were
completed on Crab Bank in a growing ebb tide. The regatta concluded
after the completion of Race 11 due to PR 18(f).
Congratulations to the Yale University Bulldogs for winning the 2014
Charleston Women’s Regatta. No protests or redresses were submitted.
I’d like to recognize Brian Swingly, Ned Goss, Brooks Clark, George
Prieto, and the CofC Team for managing a tremendous event under trying
conditions.
