Saturday, February 25We had great conditions on the Cooper River today! The wind was light at 4-6 knots from the WSW when racing began. The strong ebb tide proved to be challenging for the first few starts with several collisions with the RC boat. The Copper River became a bit choppy as the ebb tide continued to build and the wind shifted to the SSW and filled to 12-15 knots. It was about mid day when the tide began to switch and the one minute rule was no longer needed. The sea state settled down and the wind fell to below 10 knots for the last 2 sets. W/3, W/4, and W/5 courses were sailed with offsets and gates. We had no protest or breakdowns. One redress for a scoring inquiry was filed and will be heard in the morning.
