How could there be any argument? The Mac 9600 is the
biggest, the most upgradable, the best built computer Apple ever made.
I have three of them. Here is an example of what can be
done. In one I have an XLR8 G4/450 processor, 1.5 GB RAM, Adaptec
29160 PCI/SCSI card hooked to a Quantum Atlas II 10,000 RPM 36 GB
SCSI hard drive, Sonnet Ultra ATA-66 PCI/IDE card hooked to two
Maxtor 80 GB IDE hard drives, ATI Rage Orion video card, Belkin
FireWire/USB combination card.
Another has the same configuration except it has an XLR8
G3/500 processor upgrade.
These 9600's (Inspired by "Beast" at Mac Gurus) have a total
of four hard drives each, two additional cooling fans, a CD burner,
Zip drive, floppy and CD-R.
I run whopping big PHotoshop files smooth and fast enough for
me. I don't know what more anyone could want. The only problem I
have is trying to lift one of these when I need to move it.
