I had a 7200 that acted just like that until I discovered
that the hard drive I had put in it did not have Mac EPROM on it. I
had sent the hard drive back to Quantum for replacement and the one
they sent me didn't have Mac EPROM and I didn't know it. So you
might want to check the hard drives?
