You know, there is an old adage in computer work that goes
like this: If it works for you it works. Often people will offer
information with the caveat that "Your Milage May Vary."

None of us is here to tell anyone what to do. Only to
share our experience and our knowledge. Ultimately only you know
your computer system and only you can make the decisions about how to
set it up and run it.

One of the things I love about computers is that they are so
complex. I live in a little claustrophobic New York City apartment
but inside my macs another world opens practically without
limitation. It is a world I love to explore.

If running a system folder on every partition on your hard
drives works for you, then I am glad you shared that information,
because it means that in some circumstances, with some computers,
somewhere, that setup works. I had some problems with the setup you
describe. But, who knows. Computers are so complex that I can never
be absolutely sure where the problems originated. Coulda been
something else!

If this were all cut and dried I would lose interest in it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
