I have a cache (256KB I believe) and it has written on it:
"7200/120 ONLY DOS OK"
I can't remember for sure which Mac it came from as I have
a 7200/75 and an 8200/120 (both are not used and stripped),
and the 7200/75 didn't come with a cache as standard where
as the 8200/120 did.
My questions are:
Why would it say 7200/120 only ?
Does this cache not suit say a 8600 or what about a 5400/5500 ?
---
Also I have a 512KB cache from my dead PowerTower 180 and I
take it this works fine in any of the 7300, 8600 etc ???
---
Is there a large performance difference between a 256KB and a
512KB cache ???
