I came in on this thread late, so I'm not sure what has already been suggested.
Here are a few things to try.

Have you reset the Cuda chip? 1. Unpug the computer, 2. Remove the PRAM battery,
3. Push the power button, 4. Wait at least 10 minutes before putting the battery
back in.

The other reasons for this type of problem can be a bad DIMM, an improperly seated
DIMM, interleaved memory, failure to remove the L2 Cache SIMM, improperly seated
CPU daughtercard, too high a speed set for the CPU chip (Some G3 ZIF CPUs don't
handle overclocking very well) and software or motherboard hardware problems.
There can be other things, but these are the most common that I've seen.
