I have a (acquired two months ago to replace an aging Performa 636CD) Power
Mac 7500 running OS 9.1, 88 MB RAM, the original 100 mhz 601 processor
(which I'd like to upgrade at some point), and a Zoom 56k dualmode fax
modem. My ISP is Prodigy; email is Eudora Lite (v 3.1.3), and web browsers
are IE 5 and iCab (though Netscape Navigator v4.7 is loaded on my Mac as
well). Was using Apple Remote Access but downloaded FreePPP v2.6.2
yesterday after growing tired of ARA dropping the connection sporadically
(which it's been doing for the past month or so), though it might be a
problem with Prodigy I suppose. So far, FreePPP's only dropped the
connection completely once. Wonder if any other Prodigy users have had such
problems of late...

And this marks the first time I've posted a message to a mailing list
(after lurking here for quite some time)...

Anthony
