Nope. The 60x Macs upgraded to G3/G4 are not OS X ready, no matter what
upgrades are done to the hardware. There is a website (I lost the URL. Can
anyone list it here please?) that explains how to coax your Mac into being
able to use OS X.
The daugthercard you are describing sounds like an OEM Mac G3 card. The
CPU ZIF can be used in your computer, but only if you get a ZIF daughter
card designed for the older PCI Macs. (Such as those made by XLR8.) The Zif
holder card you describe is only usable to upgrade a Beige or Blue and White
G3 computer. It will in fact allow the G3s to use OS X, but they already
could anyway. It is just a faster processor to upgrade their 233/266/etc.
processors. (It does for the early G3s what a 604e/233 would do for your
7600's 604/132.)
