At the drive compatability database at xlr8yourmac I was just reading that some
people with Yamaha drives (in their B&Ws) also had some trouble. The tray would
open when the extensions were loading. Upgrading the CD/DVD driver to the 9.1
version (they were using 9.0.4) would fix that. But you're already using 9.1.
Also two persons mentioned disabling the CD/DVD driver altogether and let the
Toast CD Reader extension do the mounting.
So why don't you disable that driver too?
BTW did you update the firmware yet?
PS: good detailed report from you at the drive compatability database.
