Mark.
Well so far the fix has been to place the adapti 2100ez into a firewire case
and run it that way. The error message and the draw have not been a problem
in three days now. It was all day long before when it was connected
internally.
I reinstalled my OEM 8x CD for my 4400 kept the CD/DVD apple driver and use
the Toast Firewire driver and all seems to be well.
Thought I did write to the author of the hybrid toast/CD/DVD drivers but
have not heard any response from him.. but looks like now I don't need it.
And as for the firmware update, I tried using the Firewire update from
Yamaha but it would not recognize the drive.
So as it goes everything SEEMS to be fine.
