I use an 8 port 10/100 switching hub from CE. Why an 8 port? well it
wasnt that much more expensive than a 5 port, and it leaves plenty of
room for expansion....daughters computer, ethernet printer, cable
modem. I'm very happy with it, and it has been an absolute boon for
backing up from my pb to an external hd that is connected by scsi to one
of the other computers.
